Mary Kay Baranske died peacefully in her home in Vancouver, Washington at the age of 58. She is survived by her two children, Robert "Bob" Baranske of Vancouver, WA and Kaylin Baranske of Austin, TX; siblings, Julie Brown, Mark Stevens, and Jeff Stevens; and father, Hal Stevens, all of Vancouver, Washington. She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Stevens of Woodland, Washington.
She was born on July 14, 1959 in Vancouver, Washington to Hal and Audrey Stevens. She graduated from Columbia River High School in 1977. She died from complications from muscular dystrophy. She displayed immense and inspirational strength in spite of her condition.
Mary Kay was one of the founders of the Special Education PTA, a travel agent, an amazing mother, dear friend, and ray of light to all she met. She loved traveling, telling stories, cooking, being with her family, and smiling.
A "happy hour" celebration of life will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Club Green Meadows located at 7703 NE 72nd Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98661. All are welcome to attend.
