RENGO HAMMERSMITH
November 19, 1921 ~ September 7, 2017

Marjorie "Margie" Allen Rengo Hammersmith peacefully joined her Father in Heaven on September 7, 2017. She was 95 years old and passed from a life well and richly lived. She was born in Wheatland, WY, the oldest of three children. The family to Woodland, WA, when Margie was four years old.
She graduated from Woodland High School in 1940. She met a fellow high school student named Emil Edwin (Ed) Rengo. They married on May 3, 1941, and enjoyed a rich and active life together until Ed's death in 1980.
In 1987, Margie found true love a second time. She and Bert Hammersmith were married on July 11, 1987 and were blessed with fifteen laugh- and love-filled years together until Bert's death in 2002.
Although Margie only had two children by birth, she was a mom to many. Margie is survived by her siblings (Amy and Everett); her two children Karen (Ollie) Brown of Portland, OR, and Bruce Rengo of Bellingham, WA; nine grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her two beloved husbands.
A Celebration of Margie's Life will be held at Cherry Grove Friends Church on Sat., October 21, 2017, at 1pm. The family humbly asks that any donations be made in Margie's name for the "Bell Tower Fund" at Cherry Grove.
