MARGARET "JOYCE" WILDE (FISS)
May 29, 1925 ~ April 23, 2015
Joyce's beautiful smile, sense of humor, and warm, loving heart will be missed by all who were privileged to be part of her full and gracious life.
Joyce Wilde was born in Kuna, Idaho, to Edwin and Mildred Fiss. She graduated from Vancouver High School and attended Linfield College in McMinnville.
Joyce loved her friends and family and was devoted to her Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved being a homemaker and caring for her husband and family. Much of her life outside her home revolved around her work in the church - with Women's Ministries, music and prayer. She attended Salmon Creek Methodist Church for 42 years, singing in the choir as well as being involved in prayer groups and many church leadership positions. She committed much of her church work to Women's Ministries both at Salmon Creek Methodist and then later for over 20 years at Crossroads Community Church. Many women have been recipients of her prayers and wise counsel. At Crossroads she was also a vital part of the prayer room ministry with her husband, George, and many lives were touched by her sensitivity to the Lord in ministering to and praying for others.
Another of Joyce's loves was flower gardening. Her yard and garden were a testimony to the many hours she spent tending and caring for her flowers.
Joyce is survived by her son David (and Nancy) Wilde, daughter Nancy (and Hector) Flores, daughter Beth (and Mike) Neale, daughter Nell (and Steve) Johnson; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Wilde; and sisters Lois Burnham and Ruth Barnes.
Special thanks to the wonderful and loving caregivers at Nurturing Adult Family Home.
A Memorial service will be held, Saturday, May 2, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at Living Water Community Church, 2901 NE 65th Ave., Vancouver.

Mama Joyce was a precious, gracious woman of God who always made me feel welcome in her home. I can see her bring smile and hear her wonderful laughter continuing around the throne of her Savior. Can't wait to see her again when we all get to be together again in heaven where there is no more death and no more tears!

Wilde's
My thoughts and prayers go to the whole family. She was such a sweet and caring person. Her life was a true
testimony to a Christ Like person.
I shared the obituary with the current
Pastor at Salmon Creek and she was interested in the connection to Salmon
Creek Church. I'm sorry I will miss the service.
