Lowell L. Alford passed away April 24th, 2013. He was born in Pendleton, OR to Lowell and Ovelyn Alford. Lowell lived in Vancouver, WA many years and also lived in Boring and Troutdale, OR. From 2001 to 2012 he resided at Cascade Inn Assisted Living in Vancouver, WA. He then moved to The Hampton and Ashley Inn in December of 2012 where he passed away. Many thanks to both facilities where he received great care.
Lowell proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1943 to 1946. He was honorably discharged as a Radarman Second Class.
Lowell is survived by one daughter, Nancy Liedtke (Ed) of Aberdeen, WA; two sons, Scott Alford (Karen) of Camas, WA and Bob Alford (Debbie) of LaCenter, WA; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Melba; second wife, Jean; and brother, Robert.
There will be no funeral service. A family gathering is planned in May.
