August 19, 1957 ~ May 2, 2017

Lori Beth Bond passed away peacefully on May 2, 2017 with her family by her side after an extended illness with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born Aug. 19, 1957 in Portland, OR and moved to Vancouver, WA in 1988 where she raised her 3 sons.
In her youth, Lori spent many of her winters skiing, a hobby that played an intimate role in Lori and Jerry's love story. After their wedding, they chose to honeymoon on the slopes of Sun Valley and were able to return for their 30th wedding anniversary. Many of her winter holidays were with family and friends skiing Mt. Hood, Mt. Bachelor and Park City.
Lori adored her family and loved spending time with them. She volunteered at Kings Way Elementary School where the boys attended K - 6th grade, and followed them to Skyview High School where she had worked since 2004. Daily, she taught her family by example-"teaching them to become the change you wish to see in the world."
Her love for life, dogs and infectious smile provided a personality that made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Lori developed a circle of friends that shared bonded family experiences, travel and wine for 30 years. This devotion ran deep with staff and students at Skyview High School who became her 2nd family.
Lori is survived by her husband, Jerry, of 35 years; sons, Jacob 34, Jonathan 32 and Isaac 29; brothers, Chris and Tim Howell; cousin, Susan Casha; and sister-in-law, Lindy Bond.
There will be a memorial service held on Wed., May 17th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 S. Andresen Rd., Vancouver, WA with a reception immediately following to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trey Foote Foundation (treyfootefoundation.com), (wish.org), or Purple Light Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (puncar.org).
