LEROY H. DUPONT
April 24, 1946 ~ July 13, 2016
LeRoy DuPont, of Vancouver, WA, left this world to be with his Lord on July 13, 2016, while vacationing in Del Norte, CO. He was born in Del Norte, CO on April 24, 1946.
LeRoy met his wife of 51 years, Vicki, in Madras, OR. They moved to Vancouver, WA, making this their home for 50 years.
He worked most of his life at Bemis Bag Co. as a Machine Operator, retiring after 44 years on July 1, 2010.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Ana DuPont; father, Claude DuPont; sister, Frances Retherford; daughter, Janie Marie; grandson, Cody James LeRoy; and granddaughter, Cassandra Lea. LeRoy left behind his beloved wife, Verna "Vicki" DuPont; daughters, Brenda DuPont and Linda Gillett; grandchildren, Kimberly Chain, Justin Chain, Amanda Markert, Kendra Gillett and Sierra Gillett; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Brody and Khristian; sisters, Mary Shull, Donna Boatman and Hilda Stephens; brothers, Alonzo DuPont and Patrick DuPont; and many, many family members too numerous to list but loved very deeply.
We have a vast collection of memories to share and stories to tell as he loved to tease everyone. We will continue to share these precious memories as we all remember him with laughter and smiles. He was dedicated to his family always providing for them and giving "non sugar coated" advice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016. He will later be laid to rest in Madras, OR, where he first met his wife and most of his family still reside.

I met Leroy and Vicky 40 some years ago when I went to work at Then called Bemis Co. Vicky showed me the ropes stacking on the machine we were working on. I then moved on to working with Leroy as one of the women working what was then called B labor. Leroy was so much fun. He always had a joke or did some funny thing to make you laugh to break the monotony of the job. He always treated me with respect as a women which I so appreciated. Working with Vicky and Leroy started a lifetime friendship which I will always cherish. My deepest condolences, Vicky, to you and your family. Our memory's will live on forever. RIP, Leroy.

You were dearly loved by my Mom, Leroy, she loved the teasing you two shared! Her fun with you transferred to me .... I wish we could have had that last breakfast together! But you're the lucky one, you are in the presence of our Lord. Jo & Neil
