Lawrence Hurst Obituary

LAWRENCE "LARRY" CHARLES HURST
March 15, 1939 ~ February 10, 2014

Larry Hurst (74) slipped away from us on February 10th as he lost his valiant battle with a long-time illness. Born in Berkeley, CA on May 15, 1939, he joined the Air Force after graduating from high school. He worked for the California Dept. of Corrections in southern CA, retiring to Fawn Lake in Shelton, WA.
Larry is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy; step-sister, Patty; three children, Lori, Jeff and Victoria; nephew, Steve; and niece, Susan. Also surviving Larry are three of Nancy's children, Robert, Victoria and Linda. He leaves behind numerous grand and great-grandchildren who will truly miss his contagious smile, his warm hugs, and fun days in the boat on the lake.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on February 22, 2014, at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home, 302 West 11th Street, Vancouver, WA.
