JULIE ANNE (GARROW) HOYT
November 25, 1967 ~ October 15, 2014
Julie Anne (Garrow) Hoyt passed away in Vancouver, WA on Oct. 15, 2014, at the age of 46. She was born Nov. 25, 1967 in Herkimer, NY. She was a star athlete at Herkimer High School where she graduated in 1985.
Julie married Terry Hoyt on Aug. 3, 1987.
She served 8 years in the U.S. Army serving in Operation Desert Storm; achieving the rank of SGT/E-5. She also was the only female lifetime member of the VFW Post 4915 in Herkimer and was a member of the Catholic faith.
Julie was a long haul truck driver where she has accumulated over 2 million safe accident free miles.
She loved sewing, ceramics, watching sports, traveling, hiking, cooking, baking, photography, and especially spending time with everybody's pets.
Survivors include her husband, Terry, at home; parents, Gary and Jean Garrow of Herkimer, NY; brother and his companion, Sean Garrow and Melissa Kehler of Sauquoit, NY; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Enola Hoyt of Boise, ID; brother-in-law, Wayne Hoyt of Boise, ID; sister-in-law, Pat Turpyn of Ridgefield, WA; step-son, Randy Hoyt of Dallas, TX; step-daughter, Mary Caughern of Tulsa, OK; two aunts, one uncle, numerous cousins and many friends.
Committal service will be held Tues., Oct. 21, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or College of Veterinary Medicine, PO Box 647010, Washington State University, Pullman, WA 99164-7010.
Arrangements are under the care of Vancouver Funeral Chapel.

I just heard about Julie's passing..... I was stationed with her and Terry in Germany. Many fond memories of her... and true spirit. My sympathy and prayers go out to Terry. He LOVED HER VERY MUCH!!!!
