"His spirituality has guided him
to the finest fishing spots in heaven."

John Williams, of Vancouver, WA, owner/operator of Rainbow's End Jigs, Flies and Tackle, passed away from us on Sun., Jan., 27, 2013. He was born in Portland, OR and he graduated from Neahkanie High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University.
John served his country while in the U.S. Navy Submarine Corps.
From there he served his community with the City of Portland Police as a parole officer. Subsequent to those 20 plus years of professional service he moved to Kodiak, AK to embrace the beauty of nature and its' gifts of wildlife. While there, he reveled in the few fish he kept as table fare while being enthralled with the sport of outwitting his quarry. He had a passion for nature's bounty which he shared and taught others to respect.
John is survived by his brother, Richard Potter; his uncle, Eugene Wilkinson and his wife Cora; numerous cousins; his staff; and countless friends, suppliers, and customers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ina Potter and his father, Henry L. Williams, a decorated aviator killed in action during WWII.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 7, 2013, at Crosspointe Baptist Church, 9810 N.E. 76th St., Vancouver, WA 98662.
