HELEN L. ANGLIN
February 13, 1924 ~ June 28, 2017

Helen died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends at age 93. Helen was born on a farm near Conway, North Dakota that was homesteaded by her grandfather Henry Burris when he came to the United States, from Ireland, via Canada.
Her parents Wallace and Emily Burris moved Helen, her sister Marion and brother Gene to Vancouver, WA for work in the shipyards during World War II.
She soon met and married a soldier Joseph "Tony" Anglin. They had two daughters Jo Anne and Kathy.
Helen worked for Clark County Public utilities for 30 years ending her career as a supervisor. Helen enjoyed her family and traveling after her retirement. She lived in Vancouver, WA for 60 years then moved to Portland, OR to live with her daughter Jo Anne in 2007.
Helen was the most selfless person you could meet. She really saw people and they responded to the love and kindness they felt from her. Helen in return was loved by everyone who knew her. She was happy and vibrant until the end. She was preceded by her husband Tony, daughter Kathy, sister Marion, brother in law Lloyd, brother Gene and son in law Tony.
Helen is survived by her daughter Jo Anne; grandson Michael (Amy); great grandchildren Megan, Anthony, and Vincent. Nieces Loydene (Ivan), Lori, Susan (Clint); nephew Ric; and sister in law Lynda. And many more loved ones too numerous to list.
The younger picture Helen is age 18. The latter is on her 93rd birthday with her beloved dog Nikki. A life well lived.
At Helen's request, there will be no service.
