GROVER STRICKLAND
~In Memory Of ~
Passed away on January 23, 2008
After serving two tours of duty in Vietnam, Grover Strickland made his home in Vancouver, Washington. He found life was still not easy for a Black man, although he held a Master's Degree in Accounting.
In search of Kung Pao Chicken, Ming's is where we met Grover and we became a family.
Anyone who knew Grover soon discovered that he loved to cook for his friends. After thanking him for a wonderful meal he always answered back "I'm glad you enjoyed it."
His stories were abundant and were filled with tales that would keep a bar stool warm for many hours.
Grover, we wish you were here today
to share in the Presidency of Barack Obama.
Love, Erick and Lisa, Gary, Cliff and Linda, Friends and Family
