May 20, 1957 ~ April 16, 2017

Gregory John Renner, 59, of Vancouver, WA, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 while his daughter laid by him as God called him home after a long struggle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
Greg was born on May 20, 1957 in Portland, OR to Thomas and Karen Renner. He had attended Roosevelt High School in St. Johns, OR, then later moved to Vancouver, WA where he met his first wife and then had three children.
Later in life, Greg and Rosey, his recent wife, spent the last 16 years together. When Greg got ill and needed help, Rosey looked after him and took very good care of him.
Greg was a man who loved "the dogs" and spent most of his free time at the dog track. When he would bet on the dogs, he loved it so much that he raised a greyhound that he even named after one of his daughters.
Greg enjoyed time spent with family, telling stories and jokes, as he had a great sense of humor. He also really enjoyed playing poker which was something he and his sister, Debbie, had in common.
Greg was very loved and amongst those who loved him were those he is survived by: his mother, Karen Renner; wife, Rosey Bennett-Renner; sisters, Debbie Pully and Tammie Coelho; daughters, Melissa Renner-Metcalf, and Stacey Gomes; son, Andrew Snapp; step-daughter, Christina Metcalf; step-sons, Todd Lawhead and Tyler Bennett; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He will be forever loved and missed with memories of so many good times that were shared with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Renner.
A service will be held on Sat., May 13, 2017 at 3p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, WA.
