GLENN LEROY STEED
November 12, 1933 ~ November 13, 2017
Glenn LeRoy Steed, 84, retired printer of "The Tacoma News Tribune", passed away November 13, 2017.
Mr. Steed was born November 12, 1933, in Miller, South Dakota, grew up and graduated high school in Vancouver, Washington, and lived in Pierce County since 1961.
LeRoy was awarded the Eagle Scout honor at the age of 19. He was a retired Navy Reservist and enjoyed hunting, fishing, making things and worked as a contractor after retirement.
Elsie Carline (Sherman) Steed, his wife of 64 years, preceded him in death on May 10, 2017.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda L. Ripley of Fircrest, D. Gail Palmer of Orangevale, California and Carol Lynn Steed of Everett; two sons, W. Scott Steed of University Place and Robert C. Steed of Tacoma; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
The Memorial Service will begin at 11a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Vancouver, WA and the internment for both Mr. and Mrs. Steed at 2p.m. at Park Hill Cemetery, Vancouver, WA.
