GLADYS MARIE (NIELSEN) JACOBSON
June 14, 1926 ~ May 7, 2012
Gladys Marie (Nielsen) Jacobson, 85, Clark County resident since 1963, passed away on May 7, 2012. She was born in Starkweather, ND on June 14, 1926 to Chris and Gladys Nielsen.
Gladys received her Associate degree at Clark Community College and worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) at the Vancouver Memorial Hospital and the VA Hospital, both in Vancouver, WA.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed sewing, furniture refinishing, reading and crocheting.
Gladys is survived by her daughters, Gail Hankel (husband Jim) and Corrine Shepley (husband Rich); sons, David Jacobson (partner Mark Haberman) and Jim Jacobson; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Gladys Nielsen; husband Severt Jacobson (2002); daughter, Joanne Jacobson (1965); one sister; and three brothers.
Visitation will be held on Thurs., May 10, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The memorial service will be held on Fri., May 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 39th & Columbia St. in Vancouver where Gladys was a member.
