GISELA (BASALDELLA) ATWELL
August 29, 1937 ~ April 8, 2017
Gisela was born in Oppenheim, Germany and moved to Brush Prairie, WA in 1957. She is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Atwell (married 1960); children, Chuck (wife Vita) and Eric (wife Katy); sister, Helene; grandchildren, Cara, Chas, Aldis, and Kaiva; and many other wonderful relatives and friends. Gisela was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Morelli; and siblings, Dieter, Klaus, Wolfgang, Karlheinz, Ludwig, and Ursula.
Gisela was a homemaker, devoting her life to her family. She was passionate about gardening and decorating her beautiful yard and home. She had a heart of gold and loved spending time with friends and family. She was a very strong and determined person who inspired us to love each other unconditionally.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life in late August. More details to come.
Memorial donations in Gisela's name may be made to Northwest Battle Buddies, the Clark County Food Bank, or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Fresenius Brush Prairie, John and Cheryl Collette, and all of the friends and relatives who have been so supportive.

Lovely lady who I only knew for a short time. Remembering how quick she was to make you feel like you had known her for a long time. She was special. Love and prayers to all the family.
