GARY LEE PETERSON
January 12, 1943 ~ October 2, 2017
Gary Lee Peterson, son of Carl and Violet Peterson, born in Ashland, WI on Jan. 12, 1943, died Oct. 2, 2017 at age 74. He grew up in Vancouver, WA, his father being one of the many who were recruited to work at the Alcoa Aluminum plant, the family relocated to the newly built homes in Fruit Valley.
Gary graduated from Hudson's Bay High School in 1961. Two sons, James Troy and Richard Victor, were born during his marriage to Diana. In a later marriage to Cindy, a third son, William Joel was born.
Gary was a successful drywall contractor for several years, a shared business with his wife, Cindy, until a fall from a scaffolding on a job site ended his work and his marriage. Resulting back injury was a permanent disability.
Gary leaves behind a sister, Carol (widow of Wade Waugh); brothers, Wayne (deceased wife Phyllis), Glynn, and Jon (wife Joan); sister, Jan (husband Jimmie Howell; sister, Sharon (husband Dale Kays); his three sons, Jimmy, Ricky and Joel; plus many nieces and nephews.
Gary's parents, baby sister, Margaret Billie, and 14-year-old brother, Mitchell Dale, preceded him in death.
Gary will be missed by his family, personal friends,
co-workers and competitors who
became long-time friends.

Rest in peace, brother Gary. I will remember the good times we shared and your quirky, funny humor. It is a comfort to know ma and pa, Mitch, and other family and friends are surrounding you with love right now. May God Bless and keep you.
