FRANCES "JUNE" PEHL
June 9, 1937 ~ April 9, 2010

June was born June 9, 1937, in Newport, ID to Clarence and Hattie Stigall. She passed away at her home in Vancouver, WA on April 9, 2010 with her family by her side. June attended high school in Yamhill, OR. She also received her associate's degree from Spokane Community College.
She was a social worker with the Department of Welfare for the State of Washington for 10 years and retired in 1993.
June was a longtime member of the American Legion, having received her 30 year pin, and a past member of the Good Sam Club.
She loved to travel, paint, singing and listening to music, keeping a journal, fishing, walking, camping, hiking, shopping, and on occasion she played the nickel slots on her way back to Arizona for the winter. She also loved the read the bible.
June is survived by three sons, Leslie (Codi) Kenney of La Center, WA, William (Judy) Kenney of Vancouver, and Paul (Melissa) Wagenknecht of Vancouver; her daughter, Paula Warner of Ridgefield, WA; brother, Clarence (Linda) Millard of Aurora, OR; three sisters, Esther (Jay) Marshall of Yamhill, OR, Laura Belle (bob) Chitwood of Usk, WA, and Inez (Les) Payne of Gaston, OR; 11 grandchildren, Leslie, Jesse, David, Joshua, Chris, Joey, Crystal, Tony, Naomi Frances, Jessica and Payden; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Pehl on Oct. 9, 1993, whom she was married to on Jan. 8, 1989 in Vancouver, WA; also by her parents; and her brother, Leslie James Stigall.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Fri., April 16, 2010, at Donelson - Fir Lawn Memorial Center, 1070 W. Main St., Hillsboro, OR 97123. Private interment will be held at Fir Lawn Memorial Park in Hillsboro, OR.
