ELLEN MAE GOULD
July 9, 1942 ~ April 2, 2017

Ellen Mae Gould passed away at Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington on April 2, 2017 at the age of 74. She was born on July 9, 1942 in Longview, Washington to James and Grace Gould. At age 6, she was diagnosed as being Developmentally Disabled as a result of having had measles age 2. She lived most of her life in group homes in Vancouver where she was extremely well cared for.
Ellen is survived by her brother, Charles Gould of Tacoma; her sister, Shannon Baker and her husband Steve Baker of Kelso; her niece, Brenna Williams and nephew, Curt Williams, wife Dana, also of Kelso; three great-nephews, Conner and Hunter Williams of Kelso and Austin Williams of Longview; and her great-niece, Elizabeth Williams of Kelso; her housemates, Patti and Barbara; her caregivers past and present; and two extra special women in her life, Donna Green and Leila Hirtler, who stayed with Ellen and her family until the end.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. The church is located at 1309 Franklin Street in Vancouver.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Outreach program, 426 E. 4th Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98663 or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Women's Housing and Transition program (WHAT) at 1301 Franklin Street, Vancouver, WA 98660.
