ELISE MARIE "PEGGY" FORGEY
March 4, 1913 - March 12, 2010
Elise "Peggy" Forgey, 97, resident of Vancouver, WA for 68 years, died Fri., March 12, 2010. She was born March 4, 1913 in Lewiston, ID to the late, Richard and Carrie Foley.
Peggy worked as a bookkeeper at Neil Atkinson Insurance for many years and after retirement, worked as a receptionist for the Vancouver Moose Lodge.
She was a Past Noble Grand of the Rebecca Lodge and belonged to the Minnehaha Garden Club, often serving as a judge for flower shows and teaching flower arranging. Peggy also belonged to a sewing club and volunteered for many years at the Vancouver Seaman's Center.
She loved camping with her family, working with her flowers,
visiting with friends and playing Bunko.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Dorothy (Harold) Richter of Ocean Park, WA and Becky (Roger) Baxter of Vancouver, WA; sister, Rhoda Bowser of Farmington, NM; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Ike Forgey, Dick Forgey and Ralph Forgey; and granddaughter, Carol Richter.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thurs., March 18 at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home, 302 W. 11th St., Vancouver, WA.
