DOUGLAS SEYMOUR BASS
June 20, 1928 ~ January 20, 2018

Douglas Seymour Bass of Vancouver, WA, passed away Jan. 20, 2018. He was born June 20, 1928 in New York, NY to Avance Allan Bass and Willie Pearl (Ferguson) Bass.
Douglas ministered in Washington, Oregon and Vancouver BC Canada. During his ministry, he had the opportunity to go on two short mission trips; one to Liberia, another to Nigeria.
Douglas worked 19 years at Freightliner in Portland, OR and retired from there.
He loved to share the gospel, sing, and play the piano.
Douglas is survived by his daughter, Theresa Bass; son, Lowell Bass; two daughters-in-law; a great-granddaughter; a great-grandson; and a host of relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Bass; and son, Donavin Bass.
Visitation will be held Thurs., Feb. 8, 2018, 12-9p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, WA. Celebration of Life on Fri., Feb. 9, 2018, 2:30 p.m. at Maranatha Church of God, 4222 NE 12th Ave., Portland, OR 97211.
