DONALD G. DU BOIS
April 25, 1934 ~ January 25, 2017

Donald G. Du Bois, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 25th, 2017, at his home in Beaverton, Oregon.
Born in Portland, Oregon on April 25th, 1934, he was the son of the late Robert and Kathryn Du Bois. He graduated from Vancouver High School in 1952 and attended Stanford University, where he graduated with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering in 1957. Don served 2 years in the US Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and then another 3 years in the US Army reserve in the 104th Division. Living in Paris, France, from 1964 to 1968 was a highlight of his well-traveled life and career.
Surviving is his devoted wife of 27 years, Eleanor Atkeson (Schmeer); as well as his children, Denise, Brian, Blair and Drew. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Rhoda (Mason) and two grandchildren, Dominic and Samuel. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Claire Hutchison.
Interment will take place at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 at 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Don's name to the Oregon Historical Society or the Clark County Genealogical Society.
