Diane Henrichsen, 79, of Vancouver, WA, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at Clearstory Adult Family Home in Vancouver. She was born April 12, 1929 in Seattle, WA to the late Elmer and Geraldine Stevenson. She was raised on Vashon Island.
March 24, 1950, Diane married the love of her life, Pierre, in Seattle, WA.
Diane enjoyed golf, fishing, camping and bowling. She also liked watching tennis, basketball, and golf on television; she was an avid Blazers fan. Diane use to practice free throws from the half court line so if her number was called at a Blazer game she could win the big prize! Diane enjoyed gardening and projects around the house. Going to the beach was one of her favorite activities. Diane enjoyed collecting pink Depression glass and would look for bargains at antique stores and garage sales.
Diane is survived by her husband, Pierre; sons, Mark (Brenda), Cary (Shirley), Paul (Janell), David (Lisetta) and Jon (Monica); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Geraldine; and sister, Marcy Morris.
A memorial service for Diane will take place, Saturday, April 4, 2009, 3:30 p.m. at the Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home, 302 W. 11th St., Vancouver, WA 98660.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
