DAN HENRY SCHRADER
March 24, 1965 ~ July 24, 2017

Dan Henry Schrader was born March 24, 1965, and died unexpectedly with his family at his bedside, from a brief illness on July 24th, 2017.
Dan lived in or near Battle Ground, WA most of his life and has many, many loyal friends and relatives who have known him throughout his years.
He graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1983 and attended the University of Washington as a member of Alpha Delta Phi. He had a mathematical mind, and an aptitude for all things mechanical as well as impeccable attention to detail.
With his winning smile and unending generosity,
Dan was always ready to troubleshoot or fix
a needed repair for friends and family.
For over 30 years, he worked as a Journeyman Fire Sprinkler Fitter with local 669, ensuring the safe installation of numerous systems for schools, hospitals, and new construction in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
We remember Dan for his love of life; he was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing with an annual campout in the wild for elk hunting. He also loved rock n' roll music and dancing. Above all, he loved his family, especially daughters, Skyler and Sydney. Often, when he worked away from home, he would drive to his job site, as much as 3 hours away, and repeat the return trip at night to be home with them. Dan enjoyed working on his house and landscaping on the property. He and Kelly built two new homes during their marriage, one at Battle Ground Lake, as well as their home in Kalama. Family vacations were a high point for the family and Dan was known to drive to Disneyland and back for this and other events.
Our world is changed forever with Dan's passing,
just as it is brighter for the years he lived among us.
Dan is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kelly Schrader of Kalama; daughters, Skyler, who begins Law School in New York City this fall, and Sydney who will attend the University of Washington in Seattle; his parents, Dean and Barbara Schrader, his sister, Debi Schrader and nephew, Schrader James White also reside in Kalama. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Gary and Sherry Finicle, Connie Schrader, Frank Schrader, and Scott Schrader.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry and May Schrader, Noel Finicle, Vira Lee Boone; an aunt, Phyllis McPherson; and an uncle, Mike Finicle.
Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 6th from 1-4:00 p.m. at Peterson's Red Barn, 1605 Caples Rd., Woodland, WA.
