Miss Cynthia "CC" R. Filzen, age 54, of La Center, WA, died at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, OR on Fri., May 20, 2011. She was born May 2, 1957, in New Ulm, MN. She attended New Ulm area Catholic schools and graduated from New Ulm Public High School with the class of 1975. She also studied at Clark College.
Cindy lived in Louisiana before settling in La Center in 1982. She worked at Subway as a store manager.
Cindy's greatest enjoyments were her family and friends.
She loved to sew, cook, crochet, read, and word puzzles. She was a woman of many talents and used them all to the best of her ability.
Cindy is survived by her daughters, LaTisha and Sara Filzen; her grandsons, Jacob, Laiton and Thomas, all of La Center, WA; her father, Thomas Filzen; siblings, Patti (Tim) Rathmann, Scott (Ann) Filzen, all of New Ulm, and Chris (Kevin) Bruns of Lafayette, MN.
She was preceded in death on Sept. 6, 1972 by her mother, Karen Filzen (Engel) of New Ulm; her grandparents, William and Vera Engel and Armin and Agnes Filzen; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Sat., June 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at La Center Evangelical Free Church, 111 East 5th St., La Center, WA.
