CHARLES HANS LARSON
October 1, 1941 ~ March 5, 2017

Charles was born in Billings, Montana, October 1, 1941. He passed away from mesothelioma on March 5, 2017.

Charles served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963. He worked summers in Alaska at a fishing cannery, for the Anaconda Copper Company, and as a guard at the Montana State Prison. He, his wife Dorothy, and children moved to Vancouver, WA in 1969 where he worked at ALCOA.

Charles was President of the Aluminum Workers Local #300 in Vancouver for about 10 years. When he relocated to Wenatchee, he was elected President of the Aluminum Workers Local #310. He was active in the Catholic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He bowled, fished, and became very good at woodworking later in life. Charles was well loved, with a great sense of humor, and seemed to know someone everywhere he went.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Paul Larson, David Larson, and Barbara (Michael) Melton; granddaughter, Emma (Brett) Jensen; grandson, Aiden Larson; sisters, Margot Smith and Sally Larson; and brother, Rick (Jeannie) Larson.

There is a memorial service at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.
