Charles Edward "Bud" Gallup of Vancouver, WA, died Aug. 1, 2017, age 86. He was born in Kansas City, KS.
Bud earned a degree in Business from the University of Kansas and was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity.
After serving in the US Army for 2 years, Bud graduated from the University of Kansas Law School in 1957.
He was married to Miss Karol Jane Gorsuch of Mission, KS on Feb 24, 1957. They moved to Vancouver in 1965.
Mr. Gallup was an attorney in private practice for many years as well as for the Port of Vancouver and Northwest National Bank.
Bud was a member of Vancouver Heights United Methodist Church. The Salvation Army awarded him a special honor for being on the Board of Directors for 46 years. Other activities included the Vancouver Planning Commission, the Republican Party, Royal Oaks Country Club, Portland Yacht Club, and past president of Vancouver GYRO Club. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, snow skiing, traveling, and grandchildren.
Survivors include his sister, Coila Sheard of Kirkland, WA; daughter, Linda Seiber (Bruce) of University Place, WA; son, Charles A. "Chuck" Gallup (Jerilynne) of Kihei, HI; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Ella A. (Anderson) Gallup; wife, Karol; and granddaughter, Stefani Seiber.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Mon., Aug. 28, at the Vancouver Heights UMC, 5701 MacArthur Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661. There will be a private internment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to: The Salvation Army, Vancouver Heights UMC, or any charity of your choice.
Vancouver Funeral Chapel was entrusted to arrangements.

Bud was my uncle Al Wechner attorney, my parents and my attorney for many years.

I had the great pleasure of working for Bud for many years. He taught me so much and was much more than a boss to me. My deepest condolences to his family. He was a wonderful man and I will never forget him or the impact he had on my life.
