BARBARA JEAN (REED)
ACKERMAN ZAMORANO
November 25, 1939 ~ December 4, 2014
Our beloved mother passed away far too early. At such a young age of 75, she was diagnosed on September 10th with brain cancer and two and a half months. She had done so much in her short life. Horse riding, hiking, skiing, soccer, golf, gardening, guitar, banjo, dobro, singing, traveling, fishing, bluegrass jamming and loving life around every turn. Living as a snowbird in Arizona half the year, she leaves a loving friend base across the country.
She is survived by her husband, David Zamorano of Oregon City; daughter, Vickie Warford and her husband, Ken of Vancouver, WA; daughter, Robin McMichael and her husband, Mike of Vancouver, WA; son, Paul Verano and his husband, Troy Hill of Seattle; as well as three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by the children, grandchildren and great-grandchild of her deceased husband, Roger Ackerman.
A small service will be held for family and close friends at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground, WA on Saturday, December 13th, 2014 at 1:30p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please send your donations in honor of Barbara Ackerman Zamorano to Ray Hickey Hospice House of Vancouver, WA, 2112 E Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661.

Barbara was one of the most considerate persons I know. Always thinking of others and making life easier for them. Her strength during her illness and faith in God was admirable. I will surely miss her.
