The volunteers who make the float for Battle Ground's entry in the Portland Grand Floral Rose Parade will be forever grateful for the gift of a carved horse for the 50th float entry! He was a giving guy and it was a pleasure to get to know him and Shirley.

I could never tell you the loss I feel after reading of Austins passing. He was quite the guy and by far was one of my favorite customers from Jeans Sunshine Cafe back in the 80's. His quick witt , smile and awesome "one liners" will be surely be missed by many. RIP Austin, thanks for all the fun times at the cafe.

It was with deep respect as Chair of the Clark County Arts Commission to have honored Austin Barton as the first recipient of the Clark County Lifetime Achievement Award by the Arts Commission. His bronze sculptures will be a testament to his great artistic achievements over many decades to come. With deepest condolences to the entire Barton family.
