May 20, 1917 ~ December 24, 2012

Born in Heisson, WA to Ernest Haney and Dora Eaton, the second of four sons.
At the age of 22, he was saved by the grace of God and made Christ the center of his life.
The following year, Hugh married Norma Simonson on June 22, 1940, in Battle Ground.
Several years after they were married, Hugh was called up to service during WWII. When he returned, Hugh went to work at the Battle Ground Lumber Yard, retiring after 42 years.
He was an avid sports fan, especially baseball. He enjoyed traveling and his family, whom he loved very much.
Hugh was preceded in death by his son, Randal Haney.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Norma Haney; his daughters, Carol (Jim) Rogers and Diane (Gil) Mulder; daughter-in-law, Janice (Ed) Haney-Cook; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was a Godly man who loved the Lord with all his heart,
and an amazing leader of his family.
A memorial service will be held on Jan. 5, 1:00 p.m. at the Vancouver First Church of God on 78th St.
