Timothy Glen Sheffield, 64, died Nov. 14, 2012 in Couer d'Alene, ID, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Timothy was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2011 and lived with dignity and grace for one year after. He was born in Bismark, ND on Aug. 21, 1948.
Timothy was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war from 1968-1970, receiving many commendations for his gallantry.
Timothy enjoyed nature walks and hiking with his wife, Sharon, dog (Baku), and friends regularly. He was a private pilot and enjoyed his fast joy rides in the sky.
Timothy is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sharon Karn; dog (Baku); and children, Nathan Sheffield, Maliena Sheffield and Colin Sheffield; daughter-in-law, Jenny Sheffield; granddaughter, Gracie Sheffield; his mother, Peggy Sheffield; brothers, Jeff Sheffield and Steven Sheffield; sisters, Mary Sheffield, Janet Moore and Susan Sheffield; step-children, Jeremiah Martin and Merinda Sterner.
A memorial service will be held on Sat., Nov. 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
