Susan Dawn LeMay, beloved sister and friend, tragically drowned on the Sandy River, Sept. 2, 2012 while inner tubing. She was born in Vancouver, WA to the proud parents of Norma and Donald LeMay on March 7, 1962.

Susan worked at Providence Medical Center and enjoyed gardening, animals, remodeling her house and helping friends. She learned to scuba dive and loved going to concerts.
Susan is survived by her brother, Steve LeMay.

Not sure what to say?

I am so sad from the loss of my very best friend! We were like twin sisters...different but very close. I miss her so much! She was so good and patient with everyone. She came from a hard life but tried to overcome. She had been learning to scuba dive, loved camping, trips to the beach, and fixing her house. She was very proud of her house. I am so glad to see all of the comments here. I know she is smiling in heaven to see how many friends were here. Thank you! Susan, from the deepest part of my heart, I miss you, buddy!!!!!!!!

Dearest Friend,
I am devastated upon the hearing of your loss. Knowing you has made me a better person. Your kind ways, sweet smile as well as all of the fun times we had together will be forever engraved in my heart. All I ever wanted for you was the best as I knew that you had a lot of heart ache. I hope that you are now at peace with your loving mother beside you.

I was a roommate of Susan's when she was going to nursing school. I have thought of her many times throughout the years. Even though I wasn't going to school for nursing, she taught me how to take a blood pressure. Now that I do work in the medical field, I think of her quite often when I take blood pressures. Susan, you will be missed!

I met Susan while at St. Vincent hospital. It was during a difficult time there when layoffs were happening and people transitioning to different jobs. Susan was a steady, cheerful person and always brought sunshine into the many cloudy days during that time. Her smile would just light up the room and she had the most wonderful laugh and sense of humor. The world is a lesser place.

Oh Sue I will miss you terribly. We had so many fun times in high school and on our vacation nine years ago. Even though we didn't talk often, I always knew our friendship was strong. I so wish I would have called you more often, as I thought of you so much. When I needed you after my son died, you were there. You helped me start living again. You were such a beautiful person inside and out. I will alway hold our memories close to my heart, dear friend. So rest now until we meet again. Love you and miss you forever!!! Linda Philibeck

What a shock to see my old friend in the newspaper this morning, Sad that we lost touch so many years ago, even worse that we never found the opportunity to re connect, Still that lovey smile I remember as we were children growing up. Always will I recall Sue laughing and a ready smile to all who passed her way. Rest in peace my friend, Love and comfort to your friends and family

My deepest sympathies to Susan's family and close friends, such a loss of a wonderful person. I will miss Susan very much at work. She always asked about my children and how they were doing; no matter how busy work was, she always smiled and greeted me as we passed in the hallway, and I enjoyed our chit chats during breaktime. While we were not close, I feel as though I lost a good friend, who was so sweet, tender-hearted and caring. Miss you Susan!

I am so sad to hear of Sues tragic passing. She came to live with my family and I our freshman year of high school. she always had a way to make me laugh and her warm beautiful smile I will carry in my mind and heart always. I only wish we would have stayed in closer contact over the years. Steve I am so sorry for your loss you meant the world to her as I'm sure she did to you also. She was a very special lady I am so honored to have had her as a part of my family also. Goodbye for now friend I know we'll see each other again!!
