ROBERT "BOB" BOUNDS
April 15, 1926 ~ January 17, 2014
~ Bob had a zest for life. ~

Robert "Bob" Bounds, 86, of Vancouver, WA, passed peacefully on Fri., Jan. 17, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born April 15, 1926 in Yakima, WA to Irving and Dorothy (Congdon) Bounds.
Bob graduated from Santa Clara University in 1947 with a degree in Law.
On June 14, 1947, Bob married Rose Marie Nevis in Santa Clara, CA. They moved back to Yakima, where he started a private law practice. His last position was as the City of Yakima Prosecuting Attorney.
His hobbies were traveling, music, and family time. Bob relished his role as Santa and the Easter Bunny, a memory that all of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will cherish.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Bounds; his children, Terry Rawson, Jerry Bounds, Sue Lowry, Karen Iroala, Debra Carlson, Jim Bounds, and Jeff Bounds; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Noon on Sat., Feb. 8, 2014 at St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 S. 12th Ave., Yakima, WA 98902 with Monsignor Ecker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation website.
