Paul Owens

March 10, 1944 ~ November 8, 2013

Paul reached his lifetime goal. He is present with the Lord after a long battle with his failing heart.

Born in Long Beach, CA, one of the 5 sons of James and Ethel Owens. Moved to Washington when he was 10 years old. Graduated from Evergreen High School, he began his 42-year long career at Crown Zellerbach, Camas. He began in the Finishing Department and after 15 years transferred to the Store Room. During that time he also joined the Air Force and served 6 years.

Married his best friend, Linda (Little) and moved to Washougal where he resided 42 years. Retiring to Woodland in 2008. They have 3 children, Darin, Dale and Chris (Albert) Bottemiller; 7 grandchildren; and 6+ great- grandchildren.

Paul was a quiet man who enjoyed learning about God, listening to and singing music and photography. At the young age of 9 he built a darkroom and developed his own pictures in Black and White. His focus was the wonders of the Lord. Nature, still scenery, flowers and of course the Children, Grand's and Great-Grand's.

The main focus in his later years was the establishment and maintenance of the Web Site for the Woodland Baptist Church where he attended for over 20 years. He posted the pastors sermons for all to download and listen to and learn. Gentle and loving grandpa. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

There will be a private burial at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. We would like you to join us for a Celebration of his life, Saturday afternoon, November 16th at 1:00 at Woodland Baptist Church, 1808 Lower River Road, Woodland, WA. Please bring a story, remembrance, and a picture to share with friends.
