John Calvin Norman


JOHN CALVIN NORMAN
December 26, 1969 ~ February 17, 2013

John Calvin Norman, 43, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on February 17, 2013. "Big John" was a 1988 graduate of Battle Ground High School. He was an accomplished athlete. Participating in three sports, track and field, wrestling, and football. John went on to play football for the University Of Washington, while playing for the Huskies, "Norm" (as he was referred to), was part of the 1990 and 91' Rose Bowl Championships team and undefeated National Championship team.

John was also a great student, both in high school and in college. He placed among the top 2 percent in the Nation on his aptitude tests, allowing him the membership amidst the Who's Who Among American High School Students.

John was employed by the Canyon State Academy for "at Risk" Boys as a Couch/Counselor, where he was loved both by kids and staff.

John is survived by his two parents, Larry Norman and Beverley Hunter; his sister, Lorraine Norman Willett; and his two children, which he adored and cherished, Malodie Norman (10 years old) and Brick Norman (8 years old).

There will be an informal memorial service at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Mains St., Battle Ground, WA, from 4p.m. to 6p.m., March 30th, 2013.
