JEANNE F. GIBSON
January 5, 1917 ~ July 9, 2013

Jeanne F. Gibson, 96, of Vancouver, WA, passed away on July 9, 2013. She was born in Zanesville, OH to Samuel Foster Flemm and Lucy Love Flemm (Crawford). Her family moved to Chicago, IL.
Jeanne married William J. Gibson, June 25, 1938, and moved to the Chicago suburbs of Homewood, IL. They retired to Brookings, OR.
In the 1970's, and her final move, was to Highgate Senior Living in Vancouver, WA.
Jeanne was an artist and quotes from her journals identified her philosophy of life ~
"Life is mostly froth and bubbles, two things stand alone,
Kindness in another's troubles and Courage in your own."
(Princess Diana, at a breast-cancer research benefit in DC).
Jeanne is survived by two children, Gwen Hudson (husband Rich) and William Gibson (wife Kay); five grandchildren, Rich Hudson (wife Lynda), Kirk Hudson (wife Andrea), Alaine Kowal (husband Tom), Scott Hudson (wife Thuy) and Jenny (Hudson) Coles. She was honored with 13 great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hudson, Justin Hudson, Ryan Hudson, Nicole Hudson, Troy Kowal, Taylor Hudson, Lauren Hudson, Haily Hudson, Jennisue Kowal, Easton Hudson, Cole Hudson, Reagan Kowal and Jack Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Gibson, Sr. in 1996.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., July 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cascades Presbyterian Church, 9503 NE 86th St., Vancouver, WA 98682.
