EDDIE LEE BALL
August 12, 1928 ~ March 25, 2013

Sargent Major Eddie Lee Ball, 84, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away Monday, March 25th, 2013. He was born August 12th, 1928 in Columbia Mississippi to S.T. Ball and Lillian Peters. His wife Annamarie Ball, whom he married on January 12th 1954, precedes him in death.
SGM Ball dedicated nearly half of his life to serving in the U.S. Army, spending over 30 years in service and receiving the Bronze Star Medal.
SGM Eddie Ball, a Korean war and Vietnam veteran, retired in 1978. He was an avid Fisherman and Hunter throughout the Northwest.
He was a Loving Father, Devoted Grandfather, and Proud Great Grandfather.
He is survived by one brother: Burnett Ball of Mississippi; one sister: Laura Norwood of California; one daughter: Diana Cunningham of Atlanta, Georgia; and three grandchildren: D'Emmanuel Ball, Chevonne Ball, and Antoinette Cunningham of Portland/Vancouver area. Three great- grandchildren: Amirah D'Annamarie, Mekhi Jamal, and James Arthur Eddie also survive him.
A public viewing will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, April 2nd from 9a.m.-11a.m. Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd at noon at Vancouver Barracks Cemetery also known as The Post Cemetery on 4th Plain Blvd. in Vancouver, Washington. Seating will be provided. Following the service, a celebration of life reception will be held at The Marshall House on Officers Row in Vancouver, Washington from 2p.m.-4p.m.
