DELORES A. LAUDAHL

Delores Arlene Coons was born July 12, 1928 in Chelatchie Prairie, Washington to Archie and Grace Coons. She passed away quietly September 8, 2012 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver.
Delores was an active member of the Women of the Moose, reaching the highly honored achievement of Senior Regent. She was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. In later years she enjoyed inviting neighbors to her home for visits and the company of many, many friends at VFW Post #1927.
She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Goff of Woodland, WA and Grace Soule of Wrangle, AK and four sons, Jack Reid of Battle Ground, WA, Dan Reid of Woodland, Lonn Reid of Yacolt, WA and Ted Reid of Sisters, OR. Delores delighted in seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Dale Laudahl, whom she met while living in Alaska. Also four brothers, Harold, Don, Bob and Ted Coons; and three sisters, Geraldine Belcher, Patricia Campbell, Ramona Carlock and one half-sister Hortence McQueen.
Family and friends will gather for a 'potluck' meal at the Woodland VFW on October 7, 2012 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to honor Delores and celebrate her long and interesting life of 84 years.
