"Life was never the same as a teenager on the way to a rest-home ministry with Mr. Byler, If ever a Bible term fit I will always remember him as one of the Boanerges, "A Son of Thunder" for those in the Church youth group. Every time spent with him turned into a sunny day. It was just a week or so ago he remembered a joke I told on the way to a church serve in 1962 about my brother Warren as if I happened yesterday. He was the chief example of happy graciousness. I owe him much for my being a deacon for 37 years." William Jackson (Town Center Baptist Church, Happy Valley, Oregon)

Bill was a man with a lot of heart who loved to joke. But, he was also serious about loving Jesus and serving him. My dad tells about when they went witnessing door to door together. Bill made a difference in people's lives.
