Artie Clifford Eaton

July 21, 1921 ~ September 22, 2013

Artie Clifford Eaton, 92, formerly of Vancouver, WA, passed away Sept. 22, 2013 in Napavine, WA. He was born July 21, 1921 to June (Collins) and Harry Frances Eaton in Hoquiam, WA.
Artie married Beatrice (Deugau) on Dec. 23rd, 1939.
He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific, where he lost two ships out from under him.
After an honorable discharge, Artie came home to work in many industries: he drove taxi in Aberdeen, worked in the logging industry off and on, then at Alcoa in Vancouver in the 50's, as a Deputy Sheriff in Grays Harbor County in the 60's. He became an accountant and taxman at the age of 40, and sold life insurance in the midst of all that. But the one thing that defined Artie was his love for the Lord. He began pastoring in 1963 and became an ordained minister in 1971.
Arti claimed to be a
"Jack of all trades, master of none".
And yet none of these words describe who he was!
He was the Patriarch of the family, the one
everyone respected and looked to for answers.
Artie is survived by his wife, Beatrice, at home in Napavine; daughters, Nancy Shay and Bonita (Sandy) Palmer; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by their son, Daniel Clifford Eaton.
A memorial service will be Sat., Oct. 5, 2013, 2:00 p.m., in the Napavine Assembly of God Church. All are welcome.
