John was a great guy who always made me feel included even though I was 3 years younger than him. I played college ball at Oregon State and enjoyed seeing a fellow BG graduate after our college games. I had the good fortune of running into Big John a few times over the years and I was always struck by his kindness. Rest in peace buddy.
