GRACE "DARCY" DARLENE (MURPHY) REDER
June 17, 1933 ~ November 20, 2017
Grace Darlene "Darcy" Reder, 84, of Vancouver, WA, passed away November 20, 2017. She was born on June 17, 1933, to Ruth Thomas and Glen Murphy in Hoisington, KS.
Darcy was a devoted wife for 58 years to her husband Jerry Dale "J.D." Reder and a loving mother to Jerry D. Reder, Jr. (Cindy) of Camas, WA and Sheila Fitzsimmons (David) of Vancouver, WA. Darcy's grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought joy to her life and include: Dustin Meyer (Ellise), Michael Meyer (Carly), Emily Wisti (Jack), Chelsea Sanders (Kyle), Tiffany Myers (Jordan) and Logan Sexton. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Kettner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Darcy devoted her life to her family including 20 years as a military wife. She was a licensed beautician, accomplished painter, and loved bowling. She volunteered in her son's school, and was a 4-H leader for the Pegasus Horse Club. She loved cooking, gardening, baseball and playing Tripoley at family gatherings.
Please join us in a celebration of Darcy's life to be held Sunday, Dec. 3rd, 2017, at 12:30 p.m., at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, WA. Internment will be in a private ceremony at Willamette National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Darcy's memory can be made to Toys for Tots - on line at https://www.toysfortots.org/ or any children's toy drive.
