DANNY GEORGE PEOPLES
April 12, 1934 ~ January 28, 2014
Danny George Peoples, 79, of Washougal, WA, passed away on Jan. 28, 2014. He was born in Aberdeen, WA on April 12, 1934 to George Henry and Mary Edna Peoples. He graduated from Tillamook High School in 1952.
Danny married Carol in 1980.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in February 1961.
Danny then pursued a career in education as a teacher, coach and administrator. His early teaching positions were in Odessa, Medical Lake, and Sumner, WA. In 1971, Danny and his family moved to Camas, WA where he continued his education career and earned his Master's degree and principal's credentials. He was a principal at Garfield Junior High and at Helen Baller Elementary, completing his career at the Camas School District Office, and retiring in August 1986.
Danny's favorite activities were pulling in big fish,
telling bigger fish stories, tailgating as the
#1 Washington Huskies fan, and loving his family.
Danny is survived by his five children, Terry (Tami), Martin (Barbara), Heidi, (Bob), Holly (Dale), and Jon; his eleven grandchildren, Eric, Tiffany, Adam, Sarah Jill, Deborah, Matthew, Luke, Rachel, Danielle, Paul, Savana; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sat., Feb. 1, 2014 at Calvary Community Church, 2717 N.E. 3rd Ave., Camas, WA 98607. We also invite you to share a memory or story during the service. Please join us for a luncheon following the service in the fellowship hall.

Heidi, I know how tough it is to lose someone that you love. Even though you will miss him, it is such a blessing knowing that he is happy and perfectly content in heaven with his Lord!
I am still working on "connecting" our families, and I feel blessed that I got to have some great conversations with your dad!

Mr. Peoples was the principal at the junior high when I went there. He was always a fair guy, really seemed to enjoy all of his students. He will be missed.
