'Bill' Farrell, her husband of 62 years; their children: Barry, Ellen (Les) Jonsson, Ann (Jaime) Cedeno; five grandchildren: Jaleah, Breann and Charlie Jonsson, Melisa and Julian Cedeno; two great-grandchildren: Kaeley and Madhi Jonsson, all of Vancouver; her brother, Frank Hodgson (Vancouver) and her sisters, Shirley Hopfe (N. A long-time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, she was active in St. Catherine's Circle. She also took part in the Vancouver Police Officers' Wives Auxiliary. Mary was a member of local knitting guilds, delighting family members with her creations, and donating many winter items to the needy.
Gardening, beachcombing, camping, rooting for the Portland Trailblazers, and going on road trips throughout the U.S. with Bill were some of her favorite pastimes.
Mary loved music and played the piano. She grew up singing at various churches in Vancouver. Mary was a charter member of the Columbia River Chapter of Sweet Adelines where she sang lead in the barbershop harmony chorus and quartets for decades, competing locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Mary will always be remembered as a kind,
supportive and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Her family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of The Hampton Memory Care Residence and to extend blessings to others who have loved ones affected by Alzheimer's.

Mrs. Farrell (even at 57 I still call her Mrs. Farrell) was a true mom to all that came to the house. With her contagious smile, and her warm heart, she welcomed all. It was a pleasure to have you in my life.

Mr Farrell, Ms Ann
So sorry to learn of Ms Mary's passing. She was certainly a kind person. It was interesting to see all the things she had done in her life. Obvious as to why all of you are so successful. Know that all of you Farrell's are in our prayers. She is in a much better place

My thoughts are with the family. You cherished her so much. Find joy in her memory and in the future. Psalms 37:9to11,29. May you find comfort in that thought.

Bill and family,
My prayers and warm thoughts are with you all. I have fond remembrances of Mary Ella growing up as she and mother were good friends. One memory is the aroma of Christmas baking. Mom and Mary Ella would alternate baking at one home one year and the other home the following year. Mary was a talented, wonderful woman who is/will be missed by all whose life she touched.
