Tulas LeDoux Obituary

TULAS "MEDA" ALMEDA
(CLAYTON) LEDOUX
March 14, 1930 ~ November 20, 2017

Tulas Almeda LeDoux, 87 years old, of Vancouver, WA, passed away at her home on Monday.

Meda was born in a small town in Texas on March 14, 1930 but the life she truly loved began on April 22, 1950 when she married her husband, Leonard. Meda was an amazing wife to her husband of 61 years. She supported him in every way as he grew the business that would enable them to live the life they enjoyed so much. With every endeavor, they thrived as a couple. They were so devoted and in love with one another. The two had three children together. She reveled in her role as a homemaker and mother. Meda's greatest strength was her capability to nurture and take care of the people she loved. The family enjoyed making memories taking family vacations with friends to Priest Lake and Lake Tahoe. When their children became adults, they found many vacations they liked taking on their own as well, frequenting the golf courses of Palm Springs and the casinos of Reno numerous times a year.

Meda and Leonard shared so many special times here in Vancouver, watching their children and grandchildren grow up, having dinner and golfing with friends from Royal Oaks, and relaxing together at the home they cherished sharing. Meda was a dedicated grandmother. When her grandchildren were small she went out of her way to bring out the best in their childhoods. She loved including them in her life and helping them find the fun in theirs. She was always there to take them swimming and on golf cart rides and to make each of them feel how important they were to her.

Throughout her life Meda loved great conversation, playing slot machines with her daughters and playing bridge with her friends. She looked forward to family dinners and good times out. She really just liked being around people. When Meda lost her husband six years ago, she also lost the only life she knew. She was the selfless caregiver she had always been to him in his last years battling cancer. When Leonard passed away, so did the only kind of life she wanted to live and that was one shared with him. Meda leaves behind her family that will always miss her, her children: Linda (Jeff Bissett), Sandy (Chuck Valentine), and Perry (Julie); her grandchildren: Andrea (Michael Finnegan), Stacey (Noah Wright), Kylie (Garrett Bredy, Fiancé), Jacob (Dre), Carly (Chris Andre), Tyler and Garrett; great-grandchildren: Dayvin and Cole, and her cherished lab: Finley.

Memories and Condolences
for Tulas LeDoux

Not sure what to say?

Linda, Sandy, & Perry, we want you to know how very sorry we all are about your mom! We all know what you are going through & it is very hard. We have been fondly remembering all of the holidays when we all got together when we still lived up there, including Aunt Dorothy & her family & your grandma Francis as well. We were really lucky that we got to see your mom & dad when they had places in the desert, & then also when your mom would come down with one of you & we were all able to spend time together. We will very much miss those times & your mom! We send our love to all of you & your families! Aunt Anne , David, Joni & Jimmie ❤
