Beverly Quigley Obituary

BEVERLEY QUIGLEY
May 19, 1933 ~ July 31, 2013

Beverley Quigley passed away Wednesday July 31st from cancer. Her loving husband and children were at her side. Beverley is survived by her husband John Quigley, and her son and daughter, David Sanchez and Dina Sanchez. She also has 12 beautiful grandchildren
Beverley was born May 19, 1933 in Beaverton, Oregon. She grew up in Beaverton and attended Beaverton Grade School where she met several life-long friends in the first grade. The women continue regular lunch gatherings to this day. She attended Beaverton High School and in her twenties visited Hawaii where she developed a love for all things Hawaiian. She particularly enjoyed hula dancing and performed for many years.
She met the love of her life John in 1997 at Laurelhurst Dance Club. They became best friends and life partners soon after. They were married in 2003 and enjoyed many years together at "the farm" in Battle Ground. The two were snow birds and spent summers in Yuma where they enjoyed dancing, music and friends in the desert. She loved the Blazers, Timbers and Cougars.
Most recently she enjoyed the dance at The VFW in Sellwood every Sunday, attending her grandchildren's events, watching her teams play on TV, shopping with friends, and spoiling her grandkids who visited frequently.
Services will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver on Tues., Aug. 6, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.

What a beautiful person was Beverly, meeting her initially as "Dina's Mother". She always seemed to be a strong, confident woman who I admired much. Always with a smile of content and I am thankful for her bringing my friend Dina into this world. She must be content in Gods arms and I pray for peace for her family.

Beverly was a great friend to Pete and I. we spent many day's visiting with her and John. We first met Bev and john when we ask if we could board our horses at there farm that was 9 years ago from that moment on we hit it off. Bev and I use to go for drives and she would show me amazing places around here it was always a adventure for us. We would also attend the VFW and dance her and Pete would dance and would just glide across the floor. Beverly was such a great friend of mine and my husband that she will be terribly missed and forever loved in our hearts! we Miss you Bev!
