KAYREN FEINAUER Obituary

KAYREN "SUZIE FINK" FEINAUER
October 27, 1943 ~ September 19, 2012

My mom was born Kayren Ann Fink on October 27th, 1943 in Vancouver, Washington to Fred and Norma Fink. My grandmother told me Dr. Hutt nicknamed my mom "Suzie" shortly after she was born and from then on was called Suzie for the next 68 years until her death on September 19, 2012 at age 68. Suzie graduated in 1961 from Ft. Vancouver High School and attended her 50th class reunion in 2011.
Mom worked as a beautician and a bartender for many years until she was hired by SEH America, where she worked for 17 years. She retired and worked part-time delivering flowers. She said "People always smile no matter the occasion when she handed over the arrangement."
My mom loved horses, going to car shows and the movies, and dancing with her best friend, Jerry Van Winkle. However, her greatest passion was playing pool and bowling. I cannot remember a time in my life when she wasn't on a team or bowling league. My mom was inducted into the Clark County Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2009. I believe this was one of the most meaningful achievements in her life. It is impossible to sum up a person's life in a few paragraphs.
Kayren leaves behind brothers, Fredric "Fritz" of Katy, TX and Dan Fink of Vancouver, WA; daughters, Shira Corcoran of Vancouver, WA and Karen Lee Manseth of Castle Rock, CO; and five grandchildren, Ian Hill of Vancouver, WA, Micah Hill of Seattle, WA, Alley Hill of Vancouver, WA and Chase and Colt Manseth of Castle Rock, CO.
Our family invites you to a Celebration of Life party on Sun., April 7, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 at The Firstenburg Community Center for anyone who would like to share stories, laughs, food and drink. My mom did request no one to wear black and to bring a small rock in remembrance.

Suzie was the first "woman" I fell in love with. Of course, she was an older woman, being in the fifth grade while I was in the fourth at Salmon Creek Grade School. It was another, simpler time and I will miss her very much, but the memories will always bring a smile.

Hey Suzie, even though you have moved on up to the North side, you will always be here with me. You and I had a lot of good times together, and not so good, but that is what made our friendship so special. We sheared laughter, tears, and you shared your family. I am so blessed to have had shared in a part of your life, and your family's.
Thank you for sharing.
