KENNETH "KEN" H. KERSTETER
December 16, 1924 ~ December 19, 2013
Kenneth "Ken" H. Kersteter, of Vancouver, WA, passed away peacefully on Dec. 19, 2013, just 3 days after his 89th birthday. He was born in Vancouver and graduated from Vancouver High School.
Soon after graduation, Ken joined the Navy and proudly served in World War II.
After the war, he returned to Vancouver where he married Myrna Lewis. They were married for 24 years before divorcing.
Ken was a carpenter and commercial fisherman.
Survivors include his three children, Susan Drake, John Kersteter and Sally Petersen; six grandkids; eight great-grandkids; one brother; and one sister.
At his request, there will be no services. Ken will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery.

just wanted to say thank you to all of you that signed the gust book. It's been a hard month for don and I cause we lost our little grandson just 9 days befor dad.But things aregetting better.

Sorry to hear of Kenney's passing and Sally and Don's grandchild. More than a few fun memories and photos of Ken. Lost our mom at Christmas too. God be with you all. I am in Hong Kong but I feel your losses no less. Big hugs.
