Rudy Steiger Obituary

RUDY HENRY STEIGER
June 17, 1930 ~ November 1, 2012

Rudy Steiger, 82, of Vancouver, WA, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2012. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky where he grew up with his two brothers, Ron and Jerry.
After serving in the Air Force, he began his career with Sears and met his wife Cynthia in California where they had their two sons, Greg and Ken. They moved to Bellevue, Washington in 1966 and lived in the Pacific Northwest ever since. His job with Sears had him move many times, Eugene, Spokane, Federal Way, Aberdeen, then finally to Vancouver in 1977 where he opened the new Sears store in Vancouver Mall as the store manager. In 1980 he retired from Sears and opened two video stores that he ran for several years, then worked part-time for Napa before fully retiring.

Rudy enjoyed skiing, playing tennis, but golf was his favorite. He also loved working in his yard.

Rudy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cynthia; his two sons, Greg (Kelly) of Port Orchard, WA and Ken of Los Angeles, CA; his brother, Ron of Largo, FL; and his two grandkids, Brady and Jackie.

He was preceded by his brother, Jerry of Livingston, TX.
