BARBARA ALVARADO
November 19, 1937 ~ November 20, 2017
On Nov. 20, 2017, Barbara Alvarado passed away in Phoenix, AZ. She was born to Leigh and Violet Irvine on Nov. 19, 1937 in Bend, OR. She was raised in Vancouver, WA where she attended Fort Vancouver High and was on the cheer team.
Barbara later attended WSU where she met and married Rey Alvarado. They had four children, Gina, Lori, Darci and Anthony.
She worked over 15 years at the Portland Auto Auction and loved all her co-workers and dealers that she met.
Barbara was a great cook and an even better baker! She had a unique sense of humor, she loved to scare the grand-kids with masks, had her favorite turkey trick and much more.
Barbara/Mom/Grandma will be greatly missed,
but never forgotten!
Barbara leaves behind her 3 daughters, Gina Elliott (Tim), Lori Pidgeon (Jim) and Darci Garcia Polanco (Jorge); along with her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rey in 2007; and her son, Tony in 2014.
There will be a celebration of her life (to be announced) this coming Spring in the Pacific NW for family and friends.

Dear daughters of Barbra, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a neat lady. I hadn't talked to her for couple moths, but I knew she wasn't well. She will truly be missed. Love to all of you.
