MARY (CLARY) KEIM
March 7, 1924 ~ June 5, 2013
"Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her."
Mary C. Keim, 89, of Vancouver, WA, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2013. She was born on March 7, 1924 to Samuel T. and Martha Ruby Clary of Cambridge, OH.
A Navy veteran, Mary served as a Parachute Rigger during WW II. In 1958, she was in the first graduating class of female police officers in Baltimore, MD and retired after 24 years of service.
Mary's next adventure led her to Alaska, where she served as a Juvenile Correctional Officer.
She spent 13 years living in Vancouver, WA and enjoyed being closer to family and friends in Washington.
Mary led a very active life and participated in the Red Hat Society. Her favorite holiday was Christmas; she was famous for her elaborately decorated packages and unique ways of giving gifts.
Mary is survived by her sons, David (Dorene) and Stephen (Kim); six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Her nieces, Patty Elston and Debra Denver of Cambridge, OH, were very dear to her heart.
